Jerry Don

My father was responsible for the good qualities that I learned.  I now realize how difficult the job of being a parent is.

A parent often has to do what is best - even when the child doesn't fully understand. Sometimes the job hurt Dad - much more than I knew during childhood.  Once or twice I witnessed a tear or two falling from his own eyes.

I know he was not truly appreciated until he was gone. He taught me what it was to be loved, and he strived to keep our family strong.  He always put the needs of his family before his own. He was a very special man, and I will hold him in my heart for as long as I'm alive. I hope that as long as I remember him and pass down his memory to his grandchildren, and their children, his memory will live on forever.
