A Touch of Nothing

Nothing is wrong
Words spoken solemnly to push them away
Fear-filled eyes stare out to you
The fear of nothing touching me today

Nothing survives
As it consumes all the dreams that once lived in my mind
You turned away -- it meant nothing to you
Unsteady hands with nothing to find

Nothing grows stronger
It's right there -- are you blind?
Sometimes you ask, but you don't like what's revealed
You did nothing -- you hadn't the time

Someone died from nothing today
