Brandi Broke was left penniless when she got the news that her husband Skip Broke had died in a freak accident. Somehow as Skip was climbing out of the pool, the pool ladder came loose and hit him in the head knocking him unconsciounce and the ladder landed outside the pool.

Brandi had no idea how she was going to raise the boys and she had just found out that she was pregnant again.

Dustin did not take the news of his father's death well. He began to get into trouble and his grades had dropped. Brandi had to make sure Beau did not follow in his brother's footsteps.

Dustin did love his little brother Beau and helped Brandi out taking care of him. Dustin's grades began to improve. It was hard work, and Dustin was very proud to be able to show Brandi that he got excepted to college.

Brandi found a surprise outside their door on Christmas morning. Someone had left Beau and her matching winter clothes all gift wrapped on their front porch. Brandi dressed Beau all up nice and warm and they went outside to build a snowman.

While they were outside, Brandi met someone new. Jeremy began visiting. He liked the kids and began helping Brandi take care of them. The boys began to look up to Jeremy as a father.

Jeremy was invited to Dirk's birthday party. After the party Dustin told Brandi he had made arrangements to move to the college campus. The boys were growing up so fast.

Jeremy decided to ask Brandi to marry him but he was devestated when Brandi turned him down. He waited a few days and asked her again. This time she thought it over, but again he was turned down.

Jeremy had almost given up but decided to ask Brandi one more time -- this time she said yes!

Jeremy told Brandi he would like to try to have a baby -- right now!

Brandi looked a little shocked about how eager Jeremy was to start their family!!

Jeremy surprised Brandi with a new house to begin their family in. Brandi was so happy to be broke no more. Brandi soon gave birth to another baby boy.

Brandi was horrified when she held her new baby. . .the baby had been born with strange markings on his face. Her doctor suggested that they may fade as he grows. Brandi was afraid to let anyone see her new baby. She took care of the baby and never left the house. A year had passed and just as the doctor thought -- the marks did fade on Waylon's face. Brandi was happy to be a normal family again.
