Voices From the Walls

  If I close my eyes
as I drift through the halls
I can hold out my hand
and hear the voices from the walls

The wind faintly whispers
countless words in my ears
the hopes and dreams of others
from so many forgotten years

The crisp, autumn leaves
are dancing at my feet
Warmly embracing
each new student they meet

Each step that I take
echoes through out the halls
adding my dreams
to the voices that are inside the walls
